Donor coordination meeting

On October 16 the Donor coordination meeting, a platform which was initiated by KSAP and is chaired by Mr. Aidaraliev, Minister of MAWRPI, took place in the Ministry of Agriculture. The topic of this meeting was ‘water' and 5 irrigation projects were presented to the participants. Besides the large projects supported by the World Bank, USAID and SDC, the small Helvetas funded SEP project was also presented. It was acknowledged that SEP project which is focusing on on-farm level fills a gap in the joint efforts of the donor community to improve water use efficiency in Kyrgyzstan. Based on this meeting, coordination among the different water-projects will be improved and possible partnerships explored.
